Art League Gallery will host Eloquent Light, a collection of landscape photography by local artist Bill Bogle, Jr., this October. The exhibit includes familiar Lowcountry scenes of Spanish moss-draped live oaks and oceanfront dunes, the vibrant red rock formations of the American west, and solemn views along the New England coast. Bogle's passion and success lie in recording moments when the light reveals his subjects at their most meaningful.
The University of South Carolina Beaufort presents the Department of Visual Art & Design 2019 Faculty Exhibition at the Sea Islands Center Gallery now through Sept. 21. Twenty years as an interior designer studying dimensions, comparing color schemes, sketching window treatments and completing floor plans prepared Kim France for her next creative career move as a painter.
France is The Society of Bluffton Artists’ September featured artist, presenting “Impressions of France: Colorful Oils of Italy and the Lowcountry,” September 3 through October 6. The public is invited to meet the artist at an opening reception from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8 at the SoBA Gallery, located in Old Town Bluffton.
