Local author Tim Johnston, who has been hailed as one of the modern masters of the short story, will sign copies of his new book, Friday Afternoon and Other Stories, at a launch party for the book on Friday, May 20th, from 4-7 pm. The historic Lewis Reeve Sams House, also known as the Prince of Tides House, will be the site of the event.

Over 40 Holy Trinity Classical Christian School students will be performing in the 4th Annual Spring Musical, Bibliolandra, on May 13 & 14 at 6 pm at the USCB Center for the Arts located on 801 Carteret Street.

A free public event celebrating the storied life of Pat Conroy (1945–2016), Beaufort’s iconic adopted son and the Lowcountry’s literary ambassador to the world, will be held at 5 pm on Saturday, May 14, in Waterfront Park. This memorial is cosponsored by the USCB Center for the Arts and the City of Beaufort.
